Short Hairstyles: Trends of ’10/’11

by admin on 18 June 2010

This is the first stage of a short hairstyles selection that you may find inspiring. Notorious stylists are the authors of these hairlines and colour arrangements. They are creative hair designers that have revolutionised the hair world.

It doesn’t take a daredevil to wear a short haircut, but it does take inspiration, creativity and vision to make one.

But fewer words and more haircuts, I say!

Asymmetry offers a wide range of hair cutting. Either on the sides, in the back or in the front area, asymmetrical haircuts are bold and can accent details of the face and shoulders. Asymmetry is a genuine piece of art. It’s an approach that hairstylists really enjoy working with since it highlights their artistic skills. Some of these haircuts are based on straight asymmetric lines on the sides while others are focused on the fringe. There are also two examples of back asymmetries which highlight the eyes in a beautiful unusual way. Iron straighteners were used for styling and professional styling products for a perfect finish.

The quiff originates somewhere in the 1950. It was trendy then, it is super trendy now.  Presently, this hairstyle was adapted to match the flowing trends, but still keeps something of its origins. Not only short hairstyles can be shaped into a quiff but also medium and long hair. The difference is that longer lengths can only be stylized into a quiff while short hair can be directly cut into this kind of shape. Professional products can offer any kind of allure, for either  a day at the office or a crazy clubbing night. The top can be curled with the curling iron, straightened, with ends twisted outwards or it can just be stylized into a messy kind of look.

Most of these slick straight-cut hairstyles come from different versions of the bob. Since Louise Brooks first started wearing the most basic version of this haircut, the classic bob, it gained impressive notoriety. Currently, hairstylists all over the world combine shapes, colors and shades into artistic jewelries  like the ones from above. It’s amazing to create anything that may cross your mind and make it look like it’s been cut by laser. Some hairstyles were first cut into short bobs and adjusted into final shapes. Arching fringes go well with this style, but they can vary to V shapes, straight lines, sweeping over one eye or geometrical shapes. Styling products are a must for a perfect final touch.

Short curly hair appears to be a tremendous difficulty to many women out there. Well, they do have some reasons for their position. Curly hair can be stylized into many ways, but it’s a bit difficult if you don’t have a professional hairstylist living inside your house. Once again, some of these hairstyles were first cut into bobs and then curled with the curling iron or scrunched through. You can create a quiff, a bob, small curls, large curls, basically anything that pops into your head. For large curls, heated rollers were used and then the hair was brushed out by hand for texture. Depending on the hair concept, the hair is brushed by hand, brush or diffuser.
